Simon Warrick

I am Simon Warrick. I live in the village of Bishopstone, not too close to Swindon on the Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire border in England.

I consume things just as everyone else does. I have no idea where much of what I consume comes from, what processes were involved in making it, and whether or not they affected anyone or the environment in an adverse way during production.

By day I work for a company specialising in web based traceability solutions, working mainly for companies who want to tell a decent story about the products they produce, or at least to be in a position to know what is going on in their supply chains.

I am curious about the world I live in, and believe that if I buy something that I should have the right to know all about what it is. Strangely this is not the view of the people that sell me things. This blog is all about my attempts to find out more about what I consume.

If you want to see more of what I do - check out http://v8villager.blogspot.com - where I record my daily life and the places I go, and interesting things I see along the way.
